South African football is skillful and streetwise – Riekerink

Cape Town City coach Johannes Olde Riekerink describes the football talent in South Africa as “skillful and streetwise”.
Riekerink joined City three weeks ago after taking over the reins from former West Ham United player Benni McCarthy , who spent two years at the Western Cape team.
Riekerink says that he has seen a lot of talent in the youth structures referring to the PSL Reserve League.
Within a week of joining The Citizens, Riekerink promoted 18-year old Olwethu Nyembe to the first team from the clubs “DreamClub100” initiative. Riekerink has more on football talent in SA.

Bloemfontein Celtic coach Lehlohonolo Seema agrees with the Dutch international’s sentiments. Seema’s side drew nil, nil earlier this week against City in a league match in Bloemfontein.
City will be up against Highlands Park in a league match at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
