Bar Duty Manager (b004)

A well-established wine estate in Franschhoek seeks to employ and experienced Bar Duty Manager.

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a restaurant
• Previous experience in a F&B Supervisory role mandatory.
• Knowledge of Restaurant operations.

Duties
• Ensure all outlet standards and SOP’s are followed
• Ensure products to guests are quality controlled, checked and consistent
• 100% Management of complaints.
• Ensure all aspects of the bar are in line with standards.
• Check sell by dates, bar set up and preparation are in line with standards
• Ensure the bar is organised and stocked for following day.
• Adhere to the OSH Act
• Ensure all areas and equipment are clean and hygienic and motivate staff to do the same
• Upsell to increase revenue and profitability.
• Record and manage of breakages.
• Manage stock by the FIFO principal and keep stock holding at a min
• Cash ups with waitrons daily as well as the daily handover with financial info to be mailed
• Ensure daily reports are completed timeously and accurately.
• Have a strong knowledge of food and beverage menus
• Ensure you know the POS
• Deal with all staff requests and issues in a sensitive fair and respectful manner
• Train, coach, mentor and guide staff.
• Stock takes .
