Bid Officer (mozambique)


Our client based in Mozambique is looking for BID Officer to coordinate the day to day activities of the sales department for the company, ensuring the completion of Bid/tender responses in line with the company in order to meet Customer Tender requirements accurately and on time. The Bid Officer will ensure the quality control of bid document, complying with in country statutory compliance matter Education and Minimum Requirements

Grade 12/ Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification in sales and marketing
2 years Bid officer experience across several products and solutions

Responsibilities

Responsible to ensure a quality response document in to proper grammar, customer requirements and general administration
Ensure that the financial team and deal owner addresses all financial issues - acting as a link between opportunity owner and financial team
Manage the bid process in accordance with the ISO procedure
Responsible for identifying requirements so that the team can deliver on the response
Electronically file all approvals, conditions etc. and save all bid documents and bid e-mails on the Bid Office designated back-up / replication site
Provide weekly proposals submitted status reports to Senior Sales and Business Development Manager
Schedule attend and chair local bid
Assist in compiling a presentation addressing all the relevant information required to decide whether to bid or not bid also to include the pre-bid checklist, schedule the Bid No Bid meeting, inviting all relevant reviewers
Manage the proposal schedule in such a way that the response is delivered on time to the customer
Build a project schedule and identify all actions to take place up to proposal closure stage
Identify with the assistance of the opportunity owner, areas of concern to contractual issues, risks to the company, partner/supplier issues, value add to the existing requirements, win themes, compliance to the delegation of authority as applicable, ensure that the response is following Company Rest of Africa Bid Process and all applicable Company Policies and Procedures
In collaboration with the Opportunity Owner identify resources required to respond to the tender
